Galaxies Newspaper Article

What are galaxies? Galaxies are groups of stars,dust,and gas ,Galaxies are basically everything. There are billions of galaxies in our universe.Galaxies come in three different sizes , for example spiral, irregular, and elliptical. An elliptical galaxy is shaped like a sphere, or ball. An irregular galaxy have no regular shape.On average most galaxies contain billions of stars. I think the three most important things about galaxies are galaxies are so big that they are measured in light years. The largest galaxy is so big its measured 6 million light years across. Three main components bulge, Disk, and Halo. Stars in our galaxy make up most of the mass we can detect in the universe. Earth is located on the arms of the milky way.Our solar system is located 28,000 light years from the center of the milky way. The milky way is a spiral galaxy. The milky way is 100,000 light years across.
